But who’s the woman behind the brand?
Here she shares with us some facts about herself!
Growing up was…
Filled with love and so many fun memories
I’ve always wanted to be my own boss. I looked up to my dad who was a businessman, so I knew very early on that entrepreneurship was the goal
I would describe myself as…
Hardworking and ambitious
Most valuable advice I’ve ever received?
”Faith without work is dead”
What’s your skincare regimen?
I try really hard not to sleep with makeup on and I drink lots of water
I absolutely love to dance
Ideal getaway spot?
All-time favourite song?
So Beautiful by Musiq Soulchild
Shoes or bags?
I balance my work and social life by…
Creating time to unwind and relax. Although I’m a bit of a workaholic, my mantra is ‘work hard, play hard’. I’m trying to be more intentional about that
My most exciting job so far has been…
Working on the set of The Voice Nigeria
Favourite skin product?
Good ol’ coconut oil
Quote that describes where I am in my life right now…
Not sure if it’s a quote but I live by this mantra; “if you’re in a room and you’re the smartest person there, you’re in the wrong room.”
I’m in a space where I’m proactive about surrounding myself with the right people who I can learn a lot from and evolve
What is Artistry by Tolani about?
We offer makeup services for our corporate and private clients.
Our experience in the industry is vast and multifaceted which has forged us opportunities to work with a plethora of clients within the beauty, editorial, advertisement, television, film and fashion sector
I’ve been a makeup artist for…
About seven years
I’m inspired by…
Everything around me. I try to evolve in my craft by paying attention to trends in makeup and new product releases. I also learn a lot from other skilled makeup artists as well
My signature look would be…
Minimalist. I believe less is more and I love clean lines. When I do infuse colour in my application, I tend to do so in a subtle way
Favourite makeup brand?
(Laughs) Well besides Artistry by Tolani, I would have to say Blk Opl
Makeup essentials I think every woman should travel with…
EVERYTHING! (Laughs). On a serious note, I think a must-have is a brow product. That could be a brow pencil or a brow filler. I also think basics like a foundation, a finishing powder and a lip product are key items. For travel, it’s important to have sunscreen and a nice bronzer.
