We love ‘Love’!
And nothing quite excites us like seeing creative pre-wedding pictures that show how ‘in-love’ a couple are. The smiles, the laughter, the ‘almost’ feathery touch…oh, we love ‘Love’! But it has begun to look like most of the recent shoots are done in the same locations. Not saying that it is bad, but Nigeria is too big a country for us not to explore the different beautiful sceneries the country has to offer.
We will be exploring some of the beautiful parts of Nigeria where you are sure to get breathtaking pre-wedding pictures that will last a lifetime and some.
- Le Meridien Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Standing on 174 hectares of land with an 18-hole golf course, an outdoor pool, 2 chic international restaurants, and more, Le Meridien Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort is a picturesque location for a pre-wedding shoot. Be careful though, you might fall in love with this place and come back for your honeymoon.
- Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom
Also located in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, this international Stadium is as picturesque as it comes. But don’t forget to get the right approvals before you head out there for your shoot.
- Anwanse-Abande Ranges
The Anwase-Abande Ranges extend into the Nigerian-Cameroon border via the Obudu-Cameroon range. It is located in Kwande Local Government Area. There are natural forests, great hills, dykes, valleys, streams and other natural formations in this area. With great picture locations, it can also be used for picnicking, mountaineering or hiking.
- Agbokim Waterfalls, Ikom, Cross River State.
Located about 17 kilometres from the Ikom Local Government Area of the state, Agbokim Waterfalls consists of seven streams cascading over a steep cliff, resulting in a seven-faced waterfall which levels out into the tropical rainforest. Surrounded by a lush greenery, steep hills, and valleys, the Agbokim waterfall is a captivating and alluring place for a shoot.
- Obudu Cattle Ranch, Obudu, Cross River State.
Located on Nigeria’s southeastern frontier, Obudu Cattle Ranch is more than a tourist location, it is a prime spot for pre-wedding shoots too.
- Ngwo Cave, Pine and Waterfall
The Ngwo Cave has been naturally sculpted in limestone rocks and is bedecked by an enchanting waterfall dropping down from a small opening at the roof of the cave. The fall forms a shallow pool at the cave floor and flows out as a small stream. Just behind the big mass of rock in which the cave is located, we find more caves carefully tucked into the rock, some within reach and others needing a good climb to access. The water fall also has warm and hot water that comes out together from one source.
- Lekki Conservation Centre, Lagos State.
Run by the Nigerian Conservation Foundation, this centre has a huge tract of wetlands set aside for wildlife viewing. Canopy walkways enable you to see monkeys, crocodiles and various birds; early morning is the best time to visit. It is one of the favourite spots for pre-wedding photographers and we can see why.
