Everyone loves to buy fabulous shoes, we sometimes forget the need to be practical and let emotions rule our choices. No matter the shoegasm one feels on sighting an amazing pair of shoes, if your feet is going to suffer it the whole while you are wearing it, you might want to consider your options before you purchase them. With style, comfort takes precedence.
Here are basic steps to help you get your perfect shoe size when next you go shoe shopping. ”
- If one feet is bigger than the other( usually so), pick a shoe that fits the bigger feet. It is better to habe one foot in a slightly bigger shoe than cramping one foot in a tight shoe while the other foot moves freely.
Stand firmly in the shoes, then make sure you have about half an inch space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe. The same rule about leaving some space rule applies here. You definitely wouldn’t want your longest toe sore because it was squeezed into.
Trace the outline of your feet on a paper or somewhere visible. You can do this at hone before stepping out. Place the shoe on the outline, it should not be thinner or shorter than your feet outline.
Test run your shoes, don’t just stop at placing your feet in the shoes. Wear both and walk around in them while paying attention to how snug and comfy it is. If it is too stiff and allows your feet no space, it is a No-No.
Do NOT let Sales Rep and shop owners trick you into the usual shoes just needs to be “broken” in. Buy a shoe that fits from the start.
Trust your own comfort level rather than a shoe’s size or description. Sizes vary between manufacturers. And no matter how comfortable an advertisement claims those shoes are, you’re the real judge.
Examine the soles to determine if they are sturdy enough to provide protection from sharp objects. They must provide cushioning effect to your feet. Take note of how they feel as you walk around the shoe store. Try to walk on hard surfaces as well as on the carpet to see how the shoe feels on both.
