Iniye Tokyo Jamas is the creative director behind the Tokyo James brand. Whilst studying Mathematics at Queen Mary University London, he began his creative career as a young fashion stylist in London, working for various international publications, as well as directing digital campaigns for brands such as Brioni, Issey Miyake and Puma Black Label. He moved on to launch his digital monthly publication, Rough UK which expanded to Rough Italia and Rough New York after its successful run in the UK. He launched the The Tokyo James fashion brand in Lagos, Nigeria when he relocated. He describes the brand as one that is affiliated with modern men who want simplicity with an edge. The British Nigerian menswear designer is also the Creative Director for Access Bank’s online TV platform Accelerate TV.
Tokyo James recently showcased his SS19 collection at the Heineken Lagos Fashion Week.
