Ronke Bamisedun is a PR consultant and Founder, BWL Agency, a Lagos-based strategic brand development and communications company, with experience covering music, fashion and consumer goods.

Ronke is very driven and independent, this has allowed her break boundaries globally as she has worked with some of London’s biggest music agencies who represented artists such as Mark Ronson, Madonna and Florence & The Machine. Her passions also extend beyond the PR scene as she has a flare for fashion and this pushes her to work as a personal shopper for high street giant Top Shop, iconic designer Diane Von Furstenberg as well as retail giants like Selfridges and Matchesfashion.

In our chat with her in our December issueshe says as a young female business owner she has had to deal with the stereotypes attached to a young female who works predominantly with clients that are in the entertainment industry and those that produce alcohol.
She says “Your job really isn’t a job because it looks like fun.” What a lot of people don’t see is the effort that goes into creating award winning
campaigns. We spend six months in planning.
My team and I work very long and late nights.
Each activity is part of a bigger strategy. This is a viable business and every spend must be accounted for.”
