You ever asked yourself why women always come up with the ”I have nothing to wear”‘ even in the face of a full wardrobe? You do not necessarily need a lot of clothes to be stylish, you only need the RIGHT ones. Before you embark on another shopping, first! declutter your wardrobe with these 6 easy steps.

  1. OVER TIGHT CLOTHES

It is absolutely a No-No to wear clothes that are apparently too tight for your body. Your clothes should be fitted, snug but never too tight especially in visible areas. It distorts your body, squeezing your extras that you will agree with me is never a good sight on a bad day. It is time to take that off your wardrobe

  1. CLONE CLOTHING

You remember that dress you loved so much you decided you had to have the in all the rainbow colours. I have a friend like that, he claims it is less hassle.Well, I try not to argue with her, she’s got a degree in Law. Variety is the spice of life, why settle for similar clothes when you can have fun mixing up your wardrobe?

  1. ILL FITTED CLOTHES

This one is quite tricky. I say so because in recent times, fashion has become more individualistic that you can break as many rules as you can. I have no issues with wearing bogus clothes, I do so a couple of times but bogus clothes are a planet different from ill fitted clothes. If your neckline is going to drop, it should be because you wanted it and not because the dress isn’t your size.
.
4. JUNK

Any fashion piece stained or damaged beyond repair will have to go too. You do not need them. You clear the way to make space for other clothes. There are clothes you have kept waiting to mend at your “convenience” but it’s been years and they are still hung up in your wardrobe. Ditch those too

  1. WARDROBE FILLERS

Everyone of us has that piece we blatantly hate or just not into but for some weird reasons, we refused to let go. You probably bought it in a whirl but on getting home, you discovered it’s a case of “what you ordered vs what the tailor made”.
Time to go!

  1. AN EXPENSIVE PIECE YOU HAVE NEVER WORN IN YEARS

It could be a dress or a shoe you either bought or a hand-me-down from a sister or even a gift from a Partner. Truth is you have never worn it fora reason; it is certainly not your style So it occupies space giving you the illusion that you have a closet full of wearable clothes, whereas you don’t! It is time for a wardrobe cleanse and those have to go too.
