Media Icon and CEO of Nigeria’s leading lifestyle magazine (Genevieve Magazine), Betty Irabor launches her new book ‘Dust To Dew’, an emotional book that chronicles the darkest period of her battle with depression.
The exclusive event was hosted by ace host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Stephie Coker.
Betty Irabor’s Daughter and Editor of Genevieve Magazine, Sonia Irabor, took the first reading, and shared her perspective on depression.
Family, friends and some guests joined Mrs Irabor on stage for the unveiling of the book.
After the unveiling, the readers proceeded to reading excerpts of the book and sharing their perspective on depression and mental health.
The readers who honoured the event include ; Kadaria Ahmed – Media Entrepreneur and TV host Omojuwa Japheth – Founder and Chief Strategist at the Alpha Reach Digital Media Company, Uche Pedro – Founder Bellanaija, Udo Okonjo – Chief Executive Officer/Vice Chairman of Fine and Country West Africa, Barbara Lawrence – MD, Insolitus Nigeria Limited. After the guest had read their excerpts, the host Betty Irabor, came on stage to read a potion of the book, and shared the inspiration behind the book. Her husband, Soni Irabor joined her on stage as they both shared how partners, friends and family, can be a safe space and support anyone going through depression and other mental health challenges.
The launch ended with Mrs Irabor signing books and taking selfies with guests.
