[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Yes, you read the title right. And no, I’m not crazy. I am one of the few people who love Mondays. Especially Mondays in Lagos. I have had people ask me if I’m mentally well or outright call me silly when i say that but it is the truth. There is no way I can hide my excitement when it gets to Sunday evening and here’s why.
- The sense of urgency excites me. I was one of those kids who never did their homework on time in high school. I always did mine on the morning of the day we are meant to turn them in. For some reason, that’s my brain’s peak time.
- The traffic calms me. Especially the one on the Third Mainland Bridge in the morning. I don’t know why but I happen to get my best ideas in traffic. *Weird*
- People are more serious on Mondays. Hahaha…but it’s true. They always have ‘serious’ questions and answers. Even the cab men. I get to exercise my sarcastic side and get a few good laughs.
- People wear their ‘best’ 9 – 5 outfits on Mondays. Just like Sundays (which I love too), on Mondays I get to see the best street style work clothes inspiration. From the colours, cuts and fit of the dresses, skirts, and pantsuits, to the interesting twists of casual wear transitioned to workplace compliant outfits. The fashion game in Lagos is not for kids at all.
It may just be my optimistic side doing this to me but I love Mondays, especially in Lagos. Want to fall in love with your Mondays too?
