I am definitely a ‘jeans girl’ if there is anything like that. I can live in jeans all year and not have a problem with that. Sometimes, I try to do something different and try out outfits of different cuts, styles, and fabric, but I always go back to jeans. Always.
I love clothes that are not only comfortable but also functional. Clothes that can go with pretty much anything else I might throw them on with. Which is why one of the staples in my wardrobe is a good pair of jeans. I always like to have a good pair that I can depend on. As much as I am a fan of occasionally dressing up to the nines (mostly through others than myself), these are the reasons why jeans are a wardrobe must-have.
- They never go out of trend
Not only are they super simple to throw on, but they can be transitioned with ease throughout the seasons. I’m not quite as into the super skin tight skinny jeans as I once was although they will always be a staple to me. I currently go for things that are a slightly looser fit that go in at all the right places but have a slight bit of give around the ankle making them perfect to roll up to expose a little bit of ankle.
- It is comfortable enough for casual days.
Compared to sweatpants, jeans are more socially acceptable as you can rock a pair from the office (casual Friday anyone?!) to a dinner date. Just throw on a nicely cut blouse, a little bit of makeup, perfume, and you are good to go.
- It can be dressed up
Since denim comes in different styles and cuts, there are so many ways to dress them up.
- It’s a classic.
You can never go wrong with jeans and a white shirt. Never! Now, you can experiment a lot of outfits to get the perfect look with your jeans and still look like a classic bombshell.
- You can wear it head to toe.
At first, I was apprehensive about trying out the head-to-toe denim trend as I am not much of a ‘trends girl’, but I did it, I loved it, and have been doing it as much as I can.
- It doesn’t need to be washed that often.
And by that often I mean almost never. But if you do decide to wash your jeans, be careful when putting them in the dryer because they WILL shrink.
- The options are endless
There an interesting array of styles that are able to fit into any particular event you are shopping for. With bell bottoms back in action along with the usual high-waisted, skinny, and boyfriend jeans, choosing a style has become just as important as choosing a wash. Besides, no one ever said too much choice in fashion was a bad thing.
- They last longer than other pants and are worth the investment
The more you wash them, the more wear and tear they may take on. Sometimes the wear and tear is the goal, in which case wash away! But, for those who want to baby their denim, the thought of washing them after every use just seems insane. Prices of great jeans range all over the place, but regardless of what you paid for your favorite pair of jeans, they are worth the investment. Would you rather pay #5,000 for a pair of jeans, or #5,000 for a pair of dress pants that you know you are only going to wear to work?
