Linda Ifeoma Ikeji is a Nigerian Blogger, Writer, Entrepreneur and former Model who is best known for her blog (www.lindaikejisblog.com).
An English Language graduate of the prestigious University of Lagos, Linda did part-time waitressing, modeling, and writing jobs to assist her family and support herself through school. In 2006, she started blogging as a hobby. At that time, the internet was not as prominent in Nigeria and she had to make her posts at a cybercafé.
The blog gave her a lot of fame and success and by 2016, Linda founded Linda Ikeji Media, a mother company that has 4 new brands – an online TV network (Linda Ikeji TV), an online radio station (Linda Ikeji Radio), a music website (Linda Ikeji Music), and a social network called Linda Ikeji Social (LIS) which got over 50,000 sign-ups on its first day.
Linda runs a Non-Profit project themed ‘I’d Rather be Self Made” where she uses to inspire female entrepreneurs by assisting young girls aged 16–25 who have great business ideas and are willing to venture into entrepreneurship. She will be giving out the sum of NGN10 Million to the selected women to assist them in starting their respective businesses.
In August 2012, Forbes Africa profiled Africa’s 20 Most Prominent Women and Linda Ikeji was one of them. She has also been interviewed by BBC on their Focus on Africa program. She is a boss woman, girl power, self-made goals and we can’t help but love her.
